Client Relations Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a Client Relations Specialist to join our team and foster positive, lasting relationships with our clients. In this role, you will assess client needs, address concerns, and work towards retention and contract renewals.

Responsibilities include identifying key personnel within client organizations, promoting best practices in customer service, and collaborating with the sales team to support upselling and cross-selling efforts. If you are client-focused, proactive, and skilled at relationship-building, this is the role for you.

In this role, you will: 

  • Communicate potential cross-sell and upsell opportunities to the sales team for follow-up.
  • Promote best practices in sales, client support, and customer service for high-quality service delivery.
  • Assess client needs and create customized strategies to meet those requirements effectively.
  • Identify key personnel within client organizations to build strong, profitable relationships.
  • Address and resolve client concerns promptly to maintain satisfaction and trust.
  • Work towards client retention and timely contract renewals.
  • Proactively reach out to potential clients to establish new business relationships and partnerships.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a Client Relations or similar customer-focused role, ideally within an agency setting.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-oriented approach.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) tools and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to foster and maintain positive relationships.
  • Team collaboration skills, with leadership abilities to guide client interactions effectively.
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction and ongoing relationship development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in sales or customer service is a plus.
  • Experience working towards client retention goals, including contract renewals and long-term partnerships.
  • Ability to proactively identify growth opportunities and support business development efforts.
