We are seeking an experienced Photo Editor to join our agency and elevate the quality of visual content for our clients. In this role, you will review, edit, and enhance photos to align with project goals and brand standards, while managing photo shoots and coordinating with team members.
Responsibilities include overseeing photography schedules, ensuring timely execution, and staying informed on the latest editing tools and techniques to enhance project outcomes. In this role, you will:
- Collaborate closely with editors, photographers, and agency team members to assess project photography needs and creative direction.
- Assign photography projects to team photographers, track progress, and monitor deadlines to ensure timely delivery.
- Review and edit photos, making adjustments to meet quality standards and align with project goals.
- Select images for publication, ensuring alignment with client vision and brand standards.
- Oversee the timely execution of photo shoots and editing to meet publication schedules.
- Enhance photos using advanced editing tools to achieve high-quality visuals that align with agency and client expectations.
- Manage photo equipment, ensure proper usage, and maintain supplies by ordering as necessary.
- Communicate with editors, photographers, and advertising representatives to advise on upcoming projects and creative strategies.
- Stay informed about new image editing technologies to continually elevate the quality of agency projects.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Visual Arts, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Strong photo editing skills with a compelling portfolio demonstrating quality work.
- Deep knowledge of digital imaging, photographic techniques, color composition, and studio management.
- Proven experience as a Photo Editor, preferably in an agency setting.
- Proficiency with digital technology and photo editing software such as Photoshop, Pixlr, and Affinity Photo.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of storytelling through visuals.
- Excellent time management and leadership abilities to guide projects from concept to completion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing photo shoots and coordinating with diverse teams to meet project goals.
- Knowledge of emerging trends in photography and image editing to drive innovative solutions.
- Ability to maintain a high level of organization while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proven track record of producing visuals that align with brand identity and resonate with target audiences.
- Familiarity with video editing or multimedia production tools is a plus.
