Community Moderator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Community Moderator to manage and engage our online communities on Discord and Telegram. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering a positive environment, facilitating discussions, and ensuring adherence to community guidelines. In this role, you will: 

• Monitor and Moderate Discussions: Oversee community interactions on Discord and Telegram, ensuring conversations adhere to established guidelines and taking appropriate action when necessary. 
• Engage with Community Members: Actively participate in discussions, answer questions, and provide support to foster a welcoming and informative environment.
• Enforce Community Guidelines: Implement and uphold community rules, addressing violations promptly and fairly to maintain a respectful atmosphere.
• Facilitate Events and Activities: Organize and manage community events, such as AMAs, contests, or discussions, to encourage member participation and engagement. 
• Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with other moderators and community managers to ensure consistent messaging and address any emerging issues.
• Gather and Report Feedback: Collect insights from the community to inform improvements and report significant concerns or suggestions to the relevant teams.
• Stay Updated on Platform Features: Keep abreast of new features and best practices on Discord and Telegram to optimize community management strategies.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in Community Management: Proven experience moderating online communities, particularly on Discord and Telegram platforms.
• Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a knack for engaging diverse audiences.
• Conflict Resolution Abilities: Skilled in de-escalating conflicts and handling sensitive situations with professionalism.
