Operations Assistant Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Operations Assistant to join our team and provide essential support for our eCommerce operations. In this role, you will collaborate with various departments, assist with training and onboarding, and help the Operations Manager with daily tasks.
Responsibilities include maintaining schedules, tracking inventory, processing orders, and resolving customer service issues. You will play a critical role in ensuring projects align with timelines and objectives while supporting efficient operations. In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with various departments, such as logistics, customer support, and marketing, to ensure smooth eCommerce operations: Work with cross-functional teams to coordinate order fulfillment, address customer concerns, and align promotional campaigns with operational capabilities.
- Assist in recruiting and training new employees, ensuring they understand the eCommerce processes and company goals: Support the onboarding of new hires by providing training on systems, workflows, and organizational objectives, ensuring they integrate seamlessly into their roles.
- Support the Operations Manager with daily tasks, ensuring that all operations run efficiently: Help oversee daily activities, monitor project progress, and address operational challenges, ensuring tasks are completed on time and efficiently.
- Maintain and organize schedules for eCommerce activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives: Develop and update schedules for projects like product launches and promotional campaigns, ensuring all activities align with deadlines.
- Perform administrative duties related to inventory management, order processing, and customer service support: Manage tasks such as tracking inventory, processing orders, and resolving customer service issues to maintain smooth operations.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and listening skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience in an Operations Assistant role or similar position, preferably in eCommerce operations.
- Strong computer proficiency, with experience using eCommerce platforms and inventory management tools.
- Ability to thrive under pressure, ensuring smooth operations during peak seasons or high-demand periods.
- Experience with inventory management and database systems to maintain accurate tracking and order fulfillment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with eCommerce workflows and project management practices.
- Relevant training or certifications in operations management or a related field.
- Proven ability to organize schedules and align activities with project timelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address operational challenges efficiently.
