We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join our team in the FinTech industry. In this role, you will:
- Analyze Financial Data: Perform detailed analyses of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to identify trends and variances.
- Prepare Financial Reports: Compile and present accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Reconcile Accounts: Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts to maintain accuracy and ensure proper financial controls.
- Support Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in developing budgets and forecasts, providing insights to support strategic planning.
- Monitor Financial Performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations for process improvements or cost-saving measures.
- Ensure Compliance: Stay updated on accounting standards (e.g., IFRS or GAAP) and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with finance, operations, and technology teams to support financial system integrations and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Leverage Financial Tools: Use advanced accounting systems and data analytics tools to streamline processes and enhance decision-making.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis, preferably in the FinTech or financial services industry.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks, and advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze large datasets and provide actionable insights.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and thoroughness in financial reporting and analysis.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present complex financial information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- FinTech Expertise: Experience working in the FinTech industry, with familiarity in digital payment systems and blockchain accounting.
- Advanced Tools Knowledge: Proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Certifications: Additional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant).
- Process Improvement: Experience in automating accounting workflows and implementing new financial systems.
