We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage and maintain our financial records with precision and efficiency. In this role, you will:
- Maintain Financial Records: Accurately record all financial transactions, including expenses, income, and payments, in the company’s accounting systems.
- Reconcile Accounts: Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Manage Invoicing and Payments: Generate and send invoices, track accounts receivable, and follow up on overdue payments.
- Prepare Financial Reports: Compile and deliver periodic financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure Compliance: Stay updated on local and industry-specific regulations to ensure adherence to tax and financial reporting requirements.
- Support Payroll Processing: Assist with payroll calculations, deductions, and disbursements, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with finance, operations, and management teams to provide insights and support decision-making.
- Leverage Financial Tools: Utilize modern accounting and bookkeeping software to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar role, preferably within the FinTech or financial services industry.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to manage numbers accurately and maintain error-free financial records.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Certification in Bookkeeping, such as Certified Bookkeeper (CB), is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Financial Tools: Familiarity with FinTech-specific platforms and tools for expense tracking and financial management.
- Industry Awareness: Understanding of financial regulations and tax laws relevant to the FinTech sector.
- Experience with Automation: Experience using automated tools for bookkeeping and reconciliation is a plus.
