Video Editor Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and imaginative Video Editor to join our team. In this role, you will: 

  • Video Editing: Edit and assemble video footage into a cohesive story, creating rough and final cuts that meet project goals.
  • Content Creation: Repurpose long-form video content into engaging short-form posts for social media.
  • Brand Alignment: Ensure all videos adhere to company brand guidelines, maintaining a consistent tone and style.
  • Post-Production: Incorporate music, dialogue, graphics, and special effects to enhance video quality.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the creative team and management to align on project direction and make revisions as needed.
  • Technology Utilization: Stay up-to-date with the latest editing tools, techniques, and industry trends to maintain efficiency and innovation.
  • Quality Control: Ensure smooth sequencing, pacing, and logical flow for an enjoyable viewing experience.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
  • Creative Storytelling: Strong understanding of pacing, timing, and continuity to create impactful narratives.
  • Advanced Techniques: Experience with special effects, motion graphics, and advanced editing features.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for quality, ensuring videos meet the highest standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team, incorporating feedback to refine and improve content.
  • Adaptability: Capacity to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Media Industry Experience: Familiarity with creating content tailored to the media and entertainment sector.
