We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee and manage financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. In this role, you will handle tasks such as reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and maintaining records for budgets and transactions. In this role, you will:
- Financial Management: Manage financial transactions, including credit card and bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and receivable processes.
- Project Financial Oversight: Collaborate with managers to forecast project costs, monitor timelines, and ensure budget accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare, update, and summarize monthly financial reports, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Financial Forecasting: Develop and update annual budgets to support strategic planning and organizational goals.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile all accounts monthly to ensure accurate records and compliance with financial standards.
- Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities and strategies to improve operational efficiency.
- Investor Reporting: Prepare and deliver quarterly reports for investor review, highlighting key financial metrics and performance trends.
- Financial Transactions: Process invoices, checks, and payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journal entries, balance sheets, and project budgets.
- Cost Tracking: Monitor and classify expenses to ensure accurate data entry and reporting.
- Document Management: Update and store records securely on Dropbox, including contracts, budgets, reports, invoices, and project documents.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Professional Experience: Proven experience as an Accountant or CPA in a corporate or project-based environment.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and precision in financial tasks and recordkeeping.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to manage time and organize financial data efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders.
- Multitasking Abilities: Skilled at handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software and systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: CPA certification or equivalent qualifications.
- Financial Software: Experience with accounting tools such as QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite.
- Data Analysis Expertise: Familiarity with financial analysis and modeling to support strategic decisions.
- Real Estate or Project Finance Experience: Knowledge of industry-specific financial practices.
