Paralegal Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to join our legal team. In this role, you will conduct thorough legal research, draft critical documents such as contracts and agreements, and organize and maintain comprehensive legal records. Your ability to collaborate with attorneys, communicate with clients, and manage legal workflows will be integral to our team's success.

You will assist in case preparation, trial support, and administrative tasks while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and compliance. In this role, you will: 

  • Legal Research and Documentation: Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare essential documents, including briefs, contracts, and agreements.
  • Case Support and Preparation: Collaborate with attorneys on case preparation and provide support during trials or hearings.
  • Legal Records Management: Organize and maintain accurate legal files and documentation for easy access and compliance.
  • Client and Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to coordinate schedules and share critical updates.
  • Administrative Support: Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and assist with other administrative tasks to support the legal team.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient legal operations.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: Demonstrated experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a legal or corporate setting.
  • Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and document preparation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in legal research tools and software applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Paralegal certification from a recognized institution or association (e.g., NALA, NFPA).
  • Advanced Legal Research: Experience with advanced tools like Westlaw or LexisNexis.
  • Specialized Expertise: Background in specialized legal areas such as litigation, corporate law, or contract management.
  • Bilingual Skills: Fluency in multiple languages to support diverse client needs.
  • Project Management: Familiarity with managing legal projects, including e-discovery and document review.
