Construction Administrator Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Administrator to oversee administrative and coordination tasks for construction projects. In this role, you will manage project documentation, monitor budgets, and ensure effective communication among stakeholders.

In this role, you will: 

  • Document Management: Maintain organized and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project plans.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and milestones.
  • Budget Management: Track project expenses, ensuring adherence to budget constraints and flagging potential overruns promptly.
  • Administrative Support: Schedule meetings, manage logistics for project-related events, and assist with preparing bids and proposals.
  • Project Scheduling: Coordinate project schedules, track milestones, and ensure deadlines are met across multiple projects.
  • Compliance: Ensure all administrative processes align with company policies, industry regulations, and construction standards.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Professional Experience: Proven experience as a Construction Administrator or similar role, preferably within the real estate or construction industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or equivalent tools.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in managing documentation, schedules, and budgets.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to identify challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Real Estate, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing documentation for large-scale or multi-site construction projects.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and best practices in construction and real estate operations.
  • Advanced proficiency in using construction-specific software for tracking and reporting.
  • Certification in project management or construction administration (e.g., PMP, CCM) is an advantage.
