Leasing Consultant Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Leasing Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will lease apartments to prospective residents, conduct property tours, and respond to resident inquiries. You will be instrumental in maintaining high occupancy rates and ensuring a positive experience for both prospective and current residents.

Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate leasing records, collaborating with property management teams, and ensuring the leasing office and model units are always presentable. In this role, you will: 

• Resident Acquisition: Engage with prospective residents, follow up on leads, and lease apartments, ensuring a smooth application process.
• Property Showings: Conduct property tours, showcasing available units and amenities to potential residents.
• Resident Relations: Respond promptly and professionally to resident inquiries and concerns, fostering strong relationships.
• Property Presentation: Ensure the leasing office, model units, and common areas are clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed leasing records, preparing regular reports as required.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with property management and maintenance teams to address resident needs and enhance satisfaction.
• Market Awareness: Stay informed about local real estate market trends and competitor offerings to effectively position properties.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Professional Experience: Proven experience as a Leasing Consultant or in a similar real estate role.
• Sales and Customer Service Skills: Strong ability to engage prospective residents, close leases, and provide exceptional service.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build rapport and address resident needs effectively.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with property management software and tools to streamline leasing processes.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of local rental market trends and property offerings.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced leasing or property management environment.
• Certification in leasing or property management (e.g., NALP or CAM).
• Advanced proficiency in CRM and leasing software for lead tracking and reporting.
